Thrift Map is an Android app that shows a live map of secondhand shopping places around the user: thrift stores, charity shops, flea markets, antique dealers and vintage boutiques. Users can browse the map, switch to a list view, filter by shop type, search for any city or area in the world by name, tap a shop to see its address, opening hours, phone and website, and open directions in their maps app. MONETIZATION — this is critical and must be described precisely in the Terms: the app is a HARD PAYWALL with NO free tier and NO advertising of any kind. On first launch the user sees a subscription screen before any app content. The single product is an auto-renewing weekly subscription "Thrift Map Premium" (product ID thriftmap_premium_weekly) priced at USD 3.99 per week, preceded by a 3-day free trial. The trial begins immediately on subscribing. After the 3-day trial the user's Google Play account is charged 3.99 USD per week until cancelled. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancellation is done through the user's Google Play account subscriptions settings, not in the app — the app links out to Google Play for management. Refunds are handled by Google Play under Google's refund policy; Hugo Software does not process payments and never sees payment details. All billing is handled by Google Play Billing. ACCOUNTS: there are no user accounts, no sign-up, no login, no email collection. Entitlement is tied entirely to the user's Google Play account and is read from Google Play on the device. DATA SOURCES / ATTRIBUTION: shop locations come from OpenStreetMap via the Overpass API (ODbL licence, © OpenStreetMap contributors); place-name search uses OpenStreetMap Nominatim; map tiles are served by CARTO. The Terms should note that shop data is community-contributed and may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate, that the app does not verify listings, and that users should confirm opening hours before travelling. The app is not affiliated with any shop shown. PERMISSIONS: approximate and precise location (optional) — used ONLY on the device to centre the map on the user and to sort shops by distance. Internet access — required to load map tiles and shop data.
